Coca Cola "RECYCLE ME"
Coca-Cola crushes its iconic logo to encourage people to recycle their favorite drink’s containers. Created by Open X Ogilvy New York and produced by LOBO, the Recycle Me campaign features out-of-home and social media pieces that show the famous wordmark crumpled, crinkled and wrinkled in a myriad of ways.To create those designs, the LOBO team literally crushed hundreds of cans using a variety of techniques, including hydraulic presses and vacuum pumps, resulting in uniquely distorted versions of the logo. Those were then cleaned up and applied on a simple red background, paired only with the “recycle me” message found on the side of every can. That’s a privilege afforded only to the world’s most iconic brands: remaining identifiable even after being warped beyond recognition.
