Georgia Power
The Red Cockaded Woodpecker is a Georgia native bird that had to migrate to other areas due to mass deforestation. For the last decades Georgia Power has been engaged in reforesting these devastated regions. VMLY&R and Georgia Power reached out to LOBO to bring this story to life. The narrative is encapsulated in the tale of friendship between a Red Cockaded Woodpecker and a little boy called George. Through 2D animation LOBO recreated the paradise that once was the home of the Red Cockaded Woodpecker and other species and remembered its destruction by men, followed by its recovery thanks to Georgia Power’s reforestation campaign partnered with @NFWFnews to restore more than 1 million acres of longleaf pine in our state. But these are more than just trees. To endangered species like the red-cockaded woodpecker, they’re home.
